A ductless mini-split heat pump is a wonderful thing to add to an Erie-County home — quiet, efficient, and finally makes the second-floor bedrooms usable in July. But the electrical side is where a lot of installs go sideways, especially when a homeowner handles the equipment purchase themselves and hires an HVAC contractor who assumes "an electrician will handle the circuit."

Do you install the mini-split itself or just the electrical?＋
We handle the electrical: dedicated circuit, disconnect at the outdoor unit, and clean penetrations for the line set as needed. Refrigerant and equipment install is your HVAC contractor's scope — we work seamlessly with any of the local HVAC companies.
What size circuit does a mini-split need?＋
It depends on the unit — most single-zone 12k–18k BTU heads run on a 15A or 20A 240V circuit, larger multi-zone systems on 30A. We size to the nameplate MOP/MCA on your specific model.
Do I need a disconnect at the outdoor unit?＋
Yes — code requires a service disconnect within sight of the condenser. We install a fused or non-fused disconnect matched to the equipment rating.
