Do I need to rewire a knob-and-tube house?＋
If you're planning a renovation or having trouble with insurance, yes — most carriers will not underwrite an active K&T house. A targeted rewire of the affected circuits is usually more cost-effective than a whole-house tear-out.
What about aluminum branch wiring?＋
We remediate with AlumiConn purple connectors at every device — a code-recognized permanent fix that doesn't require pulling new copper. We also replace outlets and switches with CO/ALR-rated devices where allowed.
Can you rewire without tearing up drywall?＋
Often yes. Fish tape, flexible drill bits, and strategic small openings let us pull most residential circuits without opening walls floor to ceiling. Some runs do require access holes we then patch or leave for your painter.
